The NFL and NFLPA investigated the injury for which they fired a trauma consultant. The investigation found that the team followed protocol as necessary, but deemed changes necessary. Both sides said that if anyone showed “imbalance of balance/stability, motor coordination or speech not caused by a neurological problem,” known as ataxia, they would not be allowed to return to the game.
Tagoviloa has missed the Dolphins in the last two games, both of which lost. He actually cleared the concussion protocol before Miami’s week six game against the Minnesota Vikings, but missed the match. It is scheduled to start this week.
